The sun shone bright on Gavin & Rachel’s wedding day at Springside Barn in East Earl, Pennsylvania.
While the bride & groom were getting ready for the festivities, I walked around the property for some scenic shots. I noticed a smoke pouring from a fire pit at the front of the ceremony site and was perplexed. Isn’t it a bit warm for a fire? But I was soon informed that the cooking embers were to be used for a special part of the wedding.
During the ceremony, Gavin & Rachel took a rod with an “S” on the end from the fire and placed it onto a piece of wood, branding their married name as a sign of unity.
It was just one moment of a carefully and artfully planned celebration.
Keep scrolling for photos of the branded wood and some lovely moments from Gavin & Rachel’s day.
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
